My Screenwriting Journey: Crafting Stories with Heart

As a screenwriter, there’s a unique satisfaction that comes from seeing a script evolve from an idea to a story that resonates with audiences. Each project I take on offers new challenges and growth, and my recent works—Love in the Background, Love on Lake Como, and Grace—have been some of the most rewarding journeys in my career.

Love on Lake Como: A Tale of Romance and Self-Discovery

Love on Lake Como is a romantic drama that explores love, personal growth, and the unexpected paths that lead us to true connection. The story centers on Jason, a high-powered businessman, and Catherine, a dedicated ballet dancer, who meet on a group tour to Lake Como. Though their personalities seem at odds, their chemistry is undeniable. As they explore the stunning Italian landscapes, they challenge each other’s perspectives on life, love, and career.

I’m proud to share that Love on Lake Como has been named a semi-finalist in the Best Script Award – London competition, which has been a significant milestone for me as a writer. The recognition is a testament to the emotional depth and universal themes of the story—second chances, self-discovery, and the courage to embrace vulnerability.

Grace: A Journey of Redemption and Faith

Grace is another deeply personal project, one that explores themes of faith, redemption, and the internal struggles that come with healing. The story follows Grace, a woman who, after a series of life-altering setbacks, embarks on a journey of self-discovery and spiritual renewal. Her path is one of forgiveness, not only towards others but also toward herself.

I’m thrilled to announce that Grace has also been recognized as a semi-finalist in the Faith in Film: International Film Festival and Screenwriting Competition. This recognition encourages me that the story’s core message—of healing and redemption through faith—resonates with people, and I’m excited to see where this journey takes the script.

Love in the Background: A Story of Love and Authenticity

Love in the Background is another exciting project in my portfolio. It’s a romantic drama that follows Amelia, a rising Hollywood starlet, and Luke, a background actor with a secret day job as a lawyer. Their romance blooms in the background of a film set in Atlanta, where they must navigate the complexities of fame, personal growth, and the challenges of keeping their relationship a secret.

Love in the Background is a story about authenticity and finding love in a world where public and private lives often clash. While the script is still under consideration at various festivals, the journey of crafting this narrative has been incredibly rewarding. Writing about love, fame, and vulnerability continues to be a deeply fulfilling creative pursuit.

The Road Ahead: Continuing to Write, Learn, and Grow

Each of these projects—Love on Lake Como, Grace, and Love in the Background—has taught me something new about storytelling and the art of screenwriting. The recognition Love on Lake Como and Grace have received as semi-finalists is a reminder that storytelling has the power to touch hearts, inspire action, and spark meaningful conversations.

As I continue my journey in screenwriting, I’m excited for what lies ahead—more stories to tell, new challenges to conquer, and more opportunities to grow as a writer. Thank you for following along with me. Stay tuned for more updates on my projects, and feel free to reach out if you want to dive deeper into the world of screenwriting or share your thoughts on any of my scripts!

Acting 2024

In January 2024, I had the exciting opportunity to take on my first principal speaking role in a TV movie. I will post again as the air date approaches! Additionally, I made my debut on the Lifetime Movie Network in a film called “Danger on Party Island,” where I played a small role as one of the antagonists in the key climactic scene.

In addition to my TV -screen endeavors, I had the pleasure of attending a couple of film festivals to support two fantastic projects where I had small dramatic roles. One of them was the feature film “Bull Street,” while the other was a powerful short film titled “Screaming into the Wind.” I played bad guys in these two as well, so I hope I don’t get typecast.

Acting 2023

As I reflect on 2023, I am filled with gratitude and excitement for the incredible journey I have experienced in my part-time acting career. This year has been a whirlwind of opportunities, growth, and unforgettable moments. From interesting roles to working with talented individuals, 2023 has truly been a milestone year for me. I had the chance to portray various roles, from a NASA Engineer in “Fly Me to the Moon” to a street musician in “Project Baby.” These roles were small but fun, and each experience was a fulfilling learning experience. Working with talented directors, writers, and fellow actors in projects like “The Soulmate Search” and “Danger on Party Island” has been a cornerstone of my learning and growth.

It is also the time for some of the previous projects to emerge from post production and begin to make their way into streaming and other outlets. These are some stills from one of my first times on camera in a romcom entitled “Baked with a Kiss.” The movie tells the story of a baker who is known to put magic in her treats. It has aired on several different streaming platforms and is a typical romantic comedy.

Acting 2022

In 2022, I discovered a new hobby. Over the course of the year, I enjoyed being involved with 12 different projects ranging from television projects, film projects, industry projects and commercial projects. These roles ranged from strictly background scenes to day player roles. I do not have any grandiose ideas of a big film career, but it is a fun past-time
